INVISIBLE CHIPS
Helping the people who work in the hospitality industry, one portion at a time.
Invisible Chips were launched in July 2020 as the hospitality industry began to slowly come out of lockdown.
Introduced by Fred Siriex, Invisible Chips were initially only available to buy online, but then, as restaurants, hotels, bars and pubs signed up for the scheme, they were sold in venues up and down the country.
In September a guest chef joined our team to share with us his secret recipe for Triple-Cooked Invisible Chips and tell us where you could buy a portion if you couldn’t be bothered to make them yourself.
We produced a tool box of messages, within a template, that could utilise our design and cut downs from our content.
This allowed us to continually update our online platforms with targeted and tactical communications.
Before introducing yet another variant of Invisible Chips to our online menu, we once again teased social media with who the mystery chef could be…
And in October, Tom’s Tantalisingly Tasty Invisible Chips were launched with Tom Kerridge showing off his culinary skills and explaining how we should all be looking out for the Invisible Chips window sticker in our favourite pubs, bars, restaurants and cafes.
Heston returned to throw down his Invisible Gauntlet.
With chefs around the UK filming their very own versions of Invisible Chips and sharing them with us online.
Heston was also used on our website to encourage venues to sign up as stockists of Invisible Chips.
By early December, Invisible Chips were on the menu in over 500 venues up and down the country, with the likes of Hilton Group, Hawksmoor and TGI Fridays joining up to our scheme.
They were also, more than, happy to share their kind words about the attributes of Invisible Chips and how they are helping to support the hospitality industry.
And this all meant that by the end of 2020 Hospitality Action were able to hand out nearly 5000 cash grants to those in the industry, who needed it the most.
Finally, we finished the year by asking people to give the gift of Ho Ho Hospitality at Christmas with yet another addition to our growing menu.
So, if you’ve already bought a portion of Invisible Chips then it leaves us with only one thing left to say…
